Education
Jason is a graduate of Georgetown
University and received a full academic
scholarship to Oxford University. As part
of a fellowship program aimed at
attracting applicants without a teaching
background, Jason is a first-year teacher
at a public school in Southeast, D.C.

Innovation
Jason believes in taking action. In 2002,
he founded a Georgetown tutoring
program pairing college students with
middle school students in Southeast, D.C.
From 2003-2005, he played a major role
in coordinating a literacy program in the
Sursum Corda neighborhood of D.C. In
the summers of 2004 and 2005, Jason
founded and ran a summer camp on
Georgetown’s campus for children from
Sursum Corda. He was also a teacher’s
assistant at a Catholic elementary school
in Southeast in 2003.

Dedication
Jason has maintained close relationships
with the children from his summer camp
by introducing them to academic and
extracurricular activities. As a school
board rep, he will show your children the
same dedication.
